The Bill's Bees Story At Bolton Hall

Posted by Eva Andrews on

Hear about beekeeping in the San Gabriel Mountains from everyone's favorite local beekeeper, Bill Lewis, owner of Bill’s Bees. Learn why bees are so important to our lives, how to behave when bees are around, things we can all do to help bees, and more!

Bill's Bees Honey Frame
Bill was introduced to beekeeping when he was in the Boy Scouts. His fascination and love of bees stayed with him through college and a career in the aerospace industry. Bill established Bill's Bees in 1991 and has been keeping bees for more than 25 years. Bill was the president of the California State Beekeepers Association and for many years was the president of the Los Angeles County Beekeepers Association. Bill's Bees 100% raw local honey comes from our San Gabriel Mountains.

Opening the program will be local artist, Elkpen, who will speak about her work, which uses a street art approach to tell stories about neighborhoods and natural history.

Bill's Bees raw honey and beeswax soaps and Elkpen's framed prints are available in our gift shop.
