Pre-orders for nucleus colonies opens each November 1st for pickup in spring the following year. Estimated pickup for pre-ordered nucleus colonies is typically a weekend in late April to mid May. Once we have exact days, we will communicate via email and update the listings with the pickup dates, times, and locations. We do our best to keep customers updated as to the distribution days, usually a weekend. However, typically we do not know the exact dates until about two to three weeks beforehand. Due to circumstances beyond our control (i.e. weather) pickup dates for nucleus colonies may change. If so, you will be informed.
Nucleus colonies are only available seasonally from late April to July of each year, dependent upon availability. Nucleus colonies are only available for pick up or specialty delivery. To inquire about delivery range and fees call or text us at (818)312-1691

Nucleus Colony: Our 5 frame NUC includes a proven and laying VSH-Italian marked queen with known, gentle genetics. The 5 frames are deep Langstroth style frames full with a combination of brood, honey and pollen. These Italian honey bees have known, gentle genetics ideal for Backyard Beekeeping in Los Angeles.
Contact INFO: You must provide full and accurate contact information during the order process so we can communicate with you regarding your order. As soon as an arrival date is known, we will send out an email with important pickup details. Every attempt will be made to contact you about bee distribution pickup; however, it is incumbent upon you to pickup your bees at the appointed date and time stated by Bill's Bees Inc.
RESTOCKING CHARGE: On all orders that are cancelled there is a $50 restocking fee per item for package bees, nucleus colonies, and complete hives. There is a $30 restocking fee per item for Queen bees. To cancel call or text us with your first and last name and order number 818-312-1691
REFUND POLICY: ALL orders that have not been picked up, cancelled, or otherwise communicated intent within 24hrs of the pick up date will be considered a "no show" meaning the order is automatically cancelled and is no longer eligible for delayed pickup or for any refund, full payment is forfeited.
